A very old video with poor quality, but the performance itself was awesome. I just love the tune and it showcased Kim Dong Ryul’s warm, lower range of his baritone voice. If this song is to be sung by Sung Si Kyung, it will sound very different for sure, but with a softer, laid-back touch. Hope to hear him sing soon =)

Judging from her two singles, you can tell Navi is good R&B singer with her solid and expressive singing. However, both songs are just so common that easily escape people’s attention. “I got a broken heart” sounds like Seeya and “I love you” is similar to 8eight. It’s her covers of others’ hits that should not be missed.

I really like Music Travel La la la in its focus on delivering good live music and crediting the musicians played on stage. It feels more like attending a mini concert rather than a live TV show. Instead of mainstream pop, the 15 Apr episode featured jazz. Malo’s exciting scat singing was impressive in “Devil may care” and her soulful, husky voice was showcased in the slow blue number “봄날은 간다”.

The oddest indie pop band out there. Their music sounds old-fashioned and very different from what we are used to hear. Yet it is their “oddness’ that catches people’s attention and the simple music which talks about simple things in life that people can relate to. Personally, I like the track “Really not there” best. It is easier on the ear as it sounds closer to a normal ballad but is given its own characteristics with the use of flattened 7th, 6th and 3rd notes.
